JESEN NAD NAMI

Najprije koža nam se minja,

pojavu se brazdice

ispod očiju, oko usan.

Sve bolje vidljivo

javi se minulo vrime

oko vrata i na ruka.

Višina nam se smanjuje

kako vrime teče,

al‘ težina raste

sve polaglje j’ gibanje naše.

Vlasi su nam slijedi

s farbom pokriveni.

Vene tijelo, vene

s vrimenom ostarne,

samo duša čuva mladost oko sebe.

Imaš želje, nade, cilje još pred sobom,

da se ne gasi sve u nami

dok’ ne velimo zadnje: „Zbogom!“

IM ANBLICK DES HERBSTES

Anfänglich verändert sich die Haut,

es zeigen sich Fältchen,

unter den Augen, um den Mund.

Immer sichtbarer wird

die vergangegene Zeit

am Hals und an den Händen.

Die Größe nimmt ab

im Lauf der Zeit,

das Gewicht jedoch wächst –

unsere Bewegungen

verlangsamen sich.

Die Haare sind grau,

Überdeckt mit Farbe.

Der Körper welkt dahin

altert mit der Zeit,

nur die Seele bewahrt sich die Jugend.

Da sind Wünsche, Hoffnungen, Ziele,

nichts erlösche in uns

bis wir nicht sagen: „Lebeweohl!“

THE SIGHT OD AUTUMN

Your skin changes

a you acquire wrinkles

under the eyes, aroung the mouth.

The past becomes more and more

visible on your neck and your hands.

Your height decreases

over time,

but your weight increases

and you move more slowly

and your hair turns grey

and thins out.

The body withers away,

aging with them,

but your soul preserves its youth.

Wishes, hope and ambition

stays with us

until we say „farewell!“
